Impact Private Clients provides discreet advisory and coordination for requirements that fall outside conventional service categories, drawing on our professional relationships and international network where appropriate.

The starting point is simple: understand what the client is trying to achieve and determine whether there is a credible way we can assist.

When the Requirement Is Unusual

Not every problem arrives with an obvious solution.

A client may need to identify a specialist professional in another country.

A family may be considering an unfamiliar jurisdiction and require trusted local relationships.

A business or personal matter may require several advisers to work together.

There may be a sensitive family requirement where confidentiality is essential.

Or the client may simply need something that does not belong under citizenship, education, staffing, travel or any other established service.

In such situations, the value of an advisory relationship lies partly in being able to say:

Let us understand the problem first. Then we can determine who or what is required to solve it.

Relationships With Judgement

Access alone is rarely enough.

Knowing someone who might be able to help does not automatically mean that person is appropriate for the client.

We therefore approach discretionary assignments with judgement as well as relationships.

Where specialist expertise is required, we seek to identify credible lawyers, advisers, consultants, institutions or other professionals capable of addressing the particular requirement.

Where appropriate, Impact can remain involved as the coordinating point between the client and those specialists.

And where we believe a request cannot be handled credibly or appropriately, we will say so.

Sensitive Matters Require Discretion

The nature of discretionary advisory means that some engagements may involve information a client would prefer to keep within a very limited circle.

We recognise this.

Information is handled discreetly and shared only as necessary to understand, assess or execute an authorised requirement.

Where external specialists are required, the client will be informed before relevant information is shared.

What We May Assist With

Because discretionary advisory is deliberately broad, it is neither practical nor desirable to create an exhaustive list.

Depending on the circumstances, our role may involve:

Identifying specialist professionals or advisers
Facilitating trusted introductions across jurisdictions
Coordinating complex personal or family requirements
Supporting sensitive international arrangements
Connecting clients with relevant institutions or expertise
Coordinating several professional parties around a single requirement
Researching and assessing unusual requests
Other legitimate matters requiring trusted access, judgement and discretion

All assignments remain subject to applicable laws, professional requirements and our ability to assist responsibly.

HOW WE WORK

How We Work

Every discretionary engagement begins with a confidential conversation.

We listen first.

We seek to understand the objective, the circumstances surrounding it and the level of sensitivity involved.

Only then do we determine whether Impact can assist directly, whether an appropriate specialist relationship should be introduced or whether another course of action would better serve the client.

There will inevitably be things we cannot do.

There will also be things we should not do.

Knowing the difference is part of good judgement.
